We were there last night when this tragic event happened. Our prayers go out to the Blewett family and also to all his racing family. He will be deeply missed. As the race ended last night and we were leaving the stands a shooting star came across the sky over the stands and to the pit area. I am sure alot of other fans must have witnessed to. I took it as a sign that he went straight to heaven. God Bless!

Jimmy,
I grew up with you buddy but over the years due to our careers, we haven't been able to keep close. I'm sitting in my office in New York right now after my Mom called me to tell me the news. I am heartbroken with tears down my face. I wish you luck buddy! My prayers are with you and John.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to the Blewett Family, and especially to John's Mom. My Son and John were close friends, and I knew John before he was born. I will always think of him as Baby John. I remember the time he came up to visit my Son when they were both about 13 y/o. They were both riding in the back of the pick-up truck as my late Husband and I drove them to Action Park. I remember looking back and seeing the look of thrill and excitement, wild and free,in John's beautiful big blue eyes, smiling a big smile, his face into the wind, and I knew, from that very moment,he was gonna be a Stock Car Racing Star. Moments like these, are precious and few. Love always, Debbi

Listen Jimmy, I know no amount of words can, or will take away the heart wrenching pain of losing your brother, but, understand one thing, your brother loved you to death, and still does! Believe me, I wouldn’t be telling you this if it wasn’t true! He really, really did, and does love you! He always has, and always will love you! Because that’s the kind of person he was. He was special He was one of a kind. You knew that, we "all" knew that!
He also was, is "our baby John! A true champ! My champ! "Our" track champion!
We love you Jimmy! We always did, and we always will! Stay strong! "We" need you! John needs you! I love you man!
