Modest Mouse podcast

"We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank," the excellent new album from Modest Mouse, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling 129,000 copies its first week out. That's more than double the amount Modest Mouse's previous album sold the first week, and pretty incredible for a prickly band that isn't terribly concerned about pop accessibility.

The album is the subject of our fourth podcast, featuring commentary by Stephen Busemeyer, a Courant editor and occasional CD reviewer; and Eric Gershon, a Courant reporter who has previously written about music for the Boston Phoenix, among other publications.

As always, feedback is welcome, either via e-mail or in the Comments section below.
