It would be interesting to hold a little survey to see how much people are paying for it.
The album is great. This is one album I'll have on heavy rotation for a while. By the way, the article was looking for precedents of established bands putting out their records online= well here's one: Public Enemy released "There's a poison goin on" on their website in 1999 (voluntarily!).

£40 is an awful lot. That's over $80 US!! Its good to work for the courant isn't it.

Kid A was 'leaked' and its believed the 'leak' pushed it into the stratosphere as it debuted at number 1 in many areas of the world.

I think they know the medium and there's way more money in it for them to have a pricey sold out tour.

Jonny Greenwood was quoted on Gothamist yesterday as saying the band receives the breakdown of the payment stats today (i.e. how much people have paid on average, etc.).

So can we take a quick informal poll here of how much folks are shelling out for the album?

And if I can ever get through to the Radiohead site, I'll fess up, too.

Eric replies: I paid for the deluxe edition, courtesy of The Courant.
