Look, I only got this TV critic job seven years into “7th Heaven” and had not bothered to watch the show before them. When I caught a couple episodes since then, I was always so surprised how bad it was in nearly aspect. The writing was trite, the acting forced, the raft of kids almost identical. I didn’t buy that there was an actual family like this for a second.
What can I say about the Monday series finale except that it lived up to the rest of the series? It was all about an insufferable wedding everybody had to attend (easy way to gather a lot of the long-gone former cast members). Yet nobody was really crazy about this particular pairing so they called it off.
Kind of sounds like the series itself.
