If it’s not a sea change, NFL on TV gets a major channel change this season.
First comes the move of “Monday Night Football” after three dozen seasons at ABC to cable – though its arrival on the near ubiquitous ESPN, another Disney property, means most won’t miss their Monday action.
That means the primetime powerhouse broadcast game moves from Mondays to Sundays, and from ABC to NBC.
And it’s all because it’s what the league wanted, NBC Sports chairman Dick Ebersol says.
